Hotel Update: Four Seasons Resort

Five years of Four Seasons Resort Seychelles

A week of staff activities at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles grew to a crescendo recently with events to mark the anniversary of the opening of the resort on the 6th February 2009.

The day began with fun and games, as fourteen 5-year-old children from the local school visited. The kids played and learned at the Pti Torti (Little Tortoises) clubhouse with the team from Kids For All Season Kids Club.

They also took part in marine education activities with conservation partner, WiseOceans. Afterwards, the children had the chance to explore the Chocolate Room, a room entirely covered in chocolate and candy – wonder and amazement was written across their little faces!

During the afternoon, the 64 staff members, employed since the opening of the Resort, were each awarded with a 5-year Certificate whilst enjoying afternoon tea. This was presented with gifts by Minister of Tourism and Culture, Mr. Alain St.Ange.

Mr. Alex Porteous, the General Manager said, "It is thanks to your passion and dedication that the resort is the success it is today. You were the trailblazers. You all welcomed new members of the team, as well as guests, demonstrating to each of them the Four Season Golden Rule: treat others as you wish to be treated.”

“We have come a long way since February 6th 2009,” he continued. “In recent times we have seen incredible accolades, with awards and recognition from bodies such as Forbes, Conde Nast Traveller, and Tripadvisor in just the past 12 months, all of which are testament to the hard work, commitment and talent of all of you."

To end the celebrations, the team released Paper Lanterns at Petite Anse beach.
