Meet Enchanted Island Resort's Head Chef, Ulric Denis

Inspired at an early age by his mother, Chef Ulric Denis’ passion began as he watched his mother sift through the kitchen, experimenting with food and flavors. 

Today, as the Executive Chef of Enchanted Island Resort he is the only true Seychellois to hold such an integral position in the Seychelles. 

Having studied and worked for various brands across the world from France to Kenya, Chef Ulric has extensive knowledge of food production, with Mediterranean, Créole cuisine and fine dining his primary style and Arabic and Indian cuisine his secondary passion.

His remarkable career included training in 3 Michelin star restaurants across France as well as in Monaco under the guidance of renowned Chef Alain Ducasse. 

Chef Ulric joined Enchanted Island Resort, bringing a traditional yet modern approach to his cooking methods and has created dishes that are designed to sweep guests off their feet at the main dining destination of the resort. Bounty, the restaurant serves international and Seychellois cuisine in a choice of starters, main dishes and desserts. Under the supervision of Chef Ulric, the menus are prepared to ensure every guest enjoys each dining experience, whether it’s a quick snack to a romantic gourmet dinner.

Since the opening of the stunning secluded five-star boutique island hideaway in late December 2013, Chef Ulric has been lauded by guests and visitors for his cooking techniques. We are delighted to have Chef Ulric Denis as part of our wonderful team at Enchanted Island Resort and together, we look forward to welcoming guests to our island.
