Hotel Updates: Six Senses Zil Pasyon

Six Senses Zil Pasyon Opens - A Stunning Seychelles Setting on Félicité Island

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas announces the opening of its first property in Seychelles,  Six Senses Zil Pasyon. Its setting is the private island of Félicité, which has a prime location  outside the cyclone belt and offers perpetual summer. The resort occupies one  third of the  total land. It is a 20-minute helicopter journey to Félicité or approximately 30 nautical miles (55 kilometers) northeast of the Seychelles International Airport, which is located on the main  island of Mahé.

Drawing upon the renowned Six Senses perspective of providing innovative top-tier facilities wedded to environmental responsibility, the resort has been brilliantly designed to embrace  the picturesque landscape of vibrant beauty. There are unsurpassed vistas of the ocean and surrounding islands from the higher points on the island. Into these pristine surroundings  nestle just 28 one-bedroom pool villas and two two-bedroom pool villas.

There are several dining venues, with the property’s culinary team led by Chef Richard Lee. The Island Café is inspired by flavors from the spice route and opens throughout the day  serving casual meals in an open lounge and interactive Chef’s Kitchen. Above the Island  Cafe, Lakanbiz presents a selection of flavored and aged rums in a true-to-life pirate’s lair.

At the water’s edge is the no-meat restaurant Ocean Kitchen, where the catch of the day is  but one of the amazing organic dishes on the menu. Located next to the pool is Koko Bar.  Guests seeking a more formal experience can visit the Wine Vault for a bespoke private  dinner.

In addition, every villa offers a variety of dining settings with wonderful views, while numerous  magical destination-dining venues can be arranged around the island.

It might be  expected that in an environment as overwhelmingly engaging and breathtaking as  Félicité, Six Senses Spa would be in its element. The creators have therefore placed the spa in and atop majestic rock formations close to the ocean, with energy from nature being a  significant life force. Until the fantastic Six Senses Spa is revealed in January, a temporary  spa is dedicated to signature spa treatments for guests.

Other facilities include a stunning elongated infinity pool offering views of the surrounding  islands with the ocean’s waves breaking over a rock wall, three white sand beaches,  Trouloulou villa for youngsters, a gym with on-site personal trainer, cooking classes, treasure hunts, signature cinema beneath the stars and a library. Right off the resort’s beach, guests  have the opportunity to swim with turtles and the resort’s Experience Center has all the  equipment that is required for exhilarating water activities, including dive excursions around the island.

Six Senses hosts can arrange private fishing trips and visits to neighboring islands by boat,  hiking in the Coco de Mer Valley, which is a popular excursion for landlubbers, or climbs to  the top of the hill to Sunset Point for magnificent nightfall experiences.
