Hotel Updates: Constance Lémuria Seychelles

Completion of Renovations at Constance Lémuria Seychelles

Constance Lémuria first opened in 1999 and was one of the Seychelles’ first five-star properties.   This 105 keys property recently closed for a refurbishment in order to bring it right up-to-date and ensure it maintained its position as one of the very top hotels in the Indian Ocean.

It officially reopened on the 1st November 2016 and the result is a stunning and unique design for the archipelago national. Constance Lémuria Seychelles now evokes more than ever the lost land which every traveller dreams of one day exploring.

The aim of the renovation, led by interior designer Marc Hertricht, was to create a sensory journey that awakens the senses, through a succession of harmonious ambiences created with contemporary and classical elements. It includes the complete renewal of three restaurants and the main bar, Huna, as well as upgraded services, new amenities and redecorated guests’ suites.

Fine cuisine is a core part of this journey. Constance Lémuria Seychelles takes great care to create fully integrated culinary concepts, where food, service and tableware combine to reveal a unique atmosphere in each outlet. The Legend restaurant, located in the main building, welcomes guests to the flavours and ambience of the Silk Route. The Nest, perched on the rocks between Petite Anse Kerlan and Grand Anse Kerlan, is an ode to seafood. Last but not least, the new Diva restaurant adds a touch of elegant exuberance to the hotel with a vibrant gastronomic menu to be shared and an updated wine list with over 900 wines on offer from a cellar that holds more than 12,000 bottles.    Guests will have the opportunity to try new menus across the board, including new children’s menus, as every dish has been revitalised by a team of international chefs who take pride in sourcing the best local produce.

The hotel’s refreshed experience includes the accommodation. Guests booking into a Junior Suite will find themselves amid calm colours enhanced by accents of blues and greens. The Senior Suites have been refurbished with a warm colour palette, refined materials and a larger terrace to offer an even more exceptional stay.

As holidays are also a time to pamper and revitalise yourself, guests will be delighted to find a new Brice Nicham podiatrist cabin at the U Spa by Constance.  In addition there is a complete wellness programme including complimentary body training, morning yoga and meditation sessions which all take place on the beach and a choice of stunning nature walks.

Known for its commitment to safeguarding the environment, most notably with its turtle protection programme, Constance Lémuria Seychelles goes a step further with the new Eco-Kiosk.

Located on Grande Anse Kerlan, it reveals interesting facts about the hotel’s flora and fauna, and the initiatives that are in place to preserve the environment.

A destination in itself, Constance Lémuria Seychelles is a top luxury hotel which offers an authentic and poetic journey that echoes the archipelago’s cultural and natural history.
