Airline Updates: Air Seychelles

Air Seychelles and STB Join Forces on Charter Flights from Chengdu to Seychelles


Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has announced it will operate non-stop charter flights from Chengdu, located in southwestern China, to
Seychelles.

The airline will offer flights from the city of more than 14 million people every Wednesday from 19 July through to 23 August, providing six return services in total during the period.

Ethiopian Airlines has won the SKYTRAX World Airline Award for The Best Airline in Africa at the Paris Air Show held on on June 20, 2017. Skytrax is the most respected global air transport rating organization that conducts the world's largest annual airline passenger satisfaction survey where customers make their own personal choices as to which airline they consider to be the best.

Acajou Supports Anti-Poaching Effort for World Environment Day


The Acajou Beach Resort of Seychelles showed its solidarity with efforts to combat the poaching of rare Coco de Mer nuts, with several staff members participating in a march on World Environment Day on June 5th.

Organised by the Seychelles Islands Foundation (SIF), the walk brought anti-poaching supporters from Cote D’Or beach to the Baie Ste Anne Community Centre.

Air Seychelles Expands Codeshare Network to Beijing



Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has expanded its codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways to offer travellers easy one-stop connections to the Chinese capital of Beijing, effective 14 June.

The new codeshare deal will see Air Seychelles place its “HM” code on Etihad Airways’ daily service between Abu Dhabi and Beijing, a city of more than 21 million people and the home of six Unesco World Heritage Sites including the Forbidden City and the Great Wall.

New Emerald Cove Hotel, on Praslin Island Seychelles, has announced that they will be temporary closing as of the 01 December 2017 for an unspecified period of time in order to carry out an extensive renovation project.

A date for completion of the project and reopening has not yet been given, however Mason's Travel will keep you updated on any developments.

Airline Updates: Air Austral

Air Austral Temporary Reduces Seychelles Flight Frequency for June 2017


Kindly note that Air Austral will be reducing its operation by one flight per week starting 01 June 2017 for the whole month.  Air Austral shall resume normal operation with two flights per week as of 01 July 2017.

For June, flights between Reunion and Seychelles operate only on Sundays: Arrival - 10:15 and departure at 11:15.

Airline Updates: Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian to Add Flight Frequency to Seychelles


Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it will add a 6th weekly flight to Seychelles as of 6th December 2017.

Chief Commercial Officer Ethiopian Airlines, Mr. Busera Awel, said, “Seychelles being Africa’s premier tourist destination, we have now added a sixth weekly service to provide more options for passengers flying from any part of the world to Seychelles and vice versa through our strategic hub at Addis Ababa."
