Hotel Updates: Auberge Anse Boileau

Breathing New Life into Auberge Anse Boileau

Since 2016 Michael & Lyn Lavigne have been the proprietors of the Auberge. In mid 2016 they embarked on a gradual renovation of both the front and back of house.

In late 2017, the restaurant had a minor refurb with a new roof, refreshed wooden furniture and a brighter look, with wonderful vibrantly coloured walls and new décor.

The kitchen was newly equipped with modern equipment, after which time the lunch and dinner menus were combined to provide guests at any time of the day with a more extensive choice of eating options. Breakfast was also upgraded to include specials each day, as well as all the appointments you would expect from a full English breakfast.

During 2018, all guest rooms have had a complete makeover with completely new furniture, wardrobes and bathrooms. Rooms are now equipped with modern eco-friendly inverter air conditioners, flat screen 18-channel televisions, DVD players and bedside telephones for free calls throughout Seychelles. There is also new balcony furniture for all rooms, and new outdoor furniture for the garden/pool. Most rooms can also be converted to twin beds, so the sleeping options are more flexible than ever. Photovoltaic electricity has been installed so the hotel is also more eco-friendly with all electricity demands.

There is a new swimming pool in the front garden, a children’s outdoor play area with a jungle gym in the back garden, and a spa providing Seychelles’ first ever Ayurveda treatments and open 7 days a week.

The Auberge has finally evolved into a well-appointed friendly guesthouse suitable for couple or families alike, with an equally famous restaurant serving breakfast, lunch & dinner.
