Swimming pool from Coral Strand Smart Choice hotel shall reopen on August 15th 

The hotel would like to inform that there has been a little delay in the reopening of its swimming pool. The expected date will now be the 15th August.
   
Fortunately, noise shall not be significant from now on.  The remaining works will consist on laying new mosaic tiles, grouting and then waiting for it to dry properly before refilling the pool. The swimming pool is completely “tented”  to minimize distraction.

Unexpected discovery of wedge tail shearwater seabirds on Denis Island

During a beach profile monitoring exercise recently, Gilberte Gendron, a research staff from the Seychelles National Parks Authority (SNPA) conducted training for staff working for both Denis Island and the Green Islands Foundation. GIF is an NGO which focuses on environmental research on Denis Island, several wedge tail shearwaters including chicks in a burrow of intertwined casuarina roots on the coast were found.

Air Seychelles Takes Delivery of New Domestic Aircraft

Air Seychelles has taken delivery of two new DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft from Viking Air Limited of Canada. The new aircraft will be used for services between Mahé and Praslin, as well as other islands in the Seychelles archipelago, including Bird, Denis and Fregate.

Air Seychelles’ Proud Return to Paris

Air Seychelles has recommenced flights to Paris from its home base in the Seychelles after a gap of two and half years.

The Indian Ocean island-based carrier is deploying its brightly-coloured Airbus A330-200 aircraft twice weekly on the new route, offering 18 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 236 seats in Economy Class.  The flights operate with a brief stopover in Abu Dhabi.
