Hotel Updates: Acajou Beach Resort

Acajou Beach Resort Readies for Grand Re-Opening

The Acajou Beach Resort (Seychelles) will re-open its doors on the 15th December, 2014 following the major renovation and expansion project that has been carried out over the past year, the resort has announced.

While the facilities, restaurants and vast majority of rooms will all be completed as scheduled in mid-November, the December opening date will allow additional time for the resort’s management to clear the grounds and continue landscaping works.

The remaining work to be completed at the time of the opening will be limited to the two new room blocks (the self-catering apartment block at the rear of the property, and the other new block featuring two Superior rooms and two Family rooms), where minor works such as interior finishing, painting and varnishing will still be ongoing through to the end of December.

“Our goal has been to ensure our very first guests are welcomed into a peaceful environment with little disruption,” General Manager Joanise Doway said. “That initial impression is very important to us, and we want to be certain the hotel grounds have some time to normalise without major works going on.”

Meanwhile, the management and staff will go ahead and begin operations in the new facilities this month, by way of in-house functions and training sessions for staff and technical personnel.
