Hawksbill Turtle Hatchlings at Chalets d' Anse Forbans
"On the 2nd of February, one guest alerted to the staff she saw some movement near the nest and in the early evening we found ourselves herding the little turtles to the Indian Ocean," says a communiqué from the establishment. "Over 120 hatchlings made their way to the ocean safely."
"The very following night close to midnight, guests and young children were woken up to enjoy this amazing act of nature. This nest had over 190 hatchlings," according to the resort.
Chalets d Anse Forbans works closely the Marine Conservation Society of the Seychelles and is located on a Hawksbill turtle nesting beach on Mahé Island, Seychelles.
