Lifting of Temporary Travel Ban for Travellers from Ebola Stricken Countries

Public Health Update on Ebola -Situation overview

On the 14th January 2016, Liberia was declared ebola free by WHO. This followed a period of 42days of no new cases after the last person was tested positive.


This means that all countries are now free of ebola.

The revised measures take effect on 15th January 2016:

1. No travel permission are required from the Public Health Authority of Seychelles.

2. The additional surveillance measures that were being enforced by the Public Health Authority at the ports of entry during the ebola outbreak will now be stopped as of Monday 18th January 2016. The routine surveillance and Health control will return as before as per IHR

3. No VISA is required for any traveler to enter Seychelles.
