Hotel Updates: Cerf Island Resort

Cerf Island Resort Awarded "Luxury Private Resort of the Year" at World Travel Awards 2016

Cerf Island Resort has just been awarded Luxury Private Resort of the Year at the World Travel Awards 2016 – and with so much to offer their guests, it’s not hard to see why. The 24 private villas at Cerf Island Resort are the perfect setting from which to enjoy the glorious natural beauty of the Seychelles and soak up the warmth of the clear blue Indian Ocean.

The judges were hugely impressed with the privacy and isolation Cerf Island offers, and at over a kilometer long and just under one kilometer wide, this vast slice of paradise will feel like your very own private island.

The judges of the awards noted that they were also pleased with the way Seychelles and Creole architecture and culture have been immaculately preserved, using traditional construction methods and materials, with wooden structures and thatched roofing throughout.

“We loved the natural luxury offered at Cerf Island Resort, where the infinity pool almost merges with the ocean, and every guest can enjoy the “1756” restaurant. Dining here will show guests a true taste of Creole cuisine, along with a fine selection of international dishes as well," reported a spokesperson for the awards.  "We loved the focus on the locally sourced seafood, and with the ocean on their doorstep, the dishes are fantastically fresh and inventively prepared. The gentle understated charm of the exclusive villas will delight every guest, as will the hidden nature of each one, where guests will be able to retreat to find their own space.”
