Four Seasons Resort Seychelles Awarded Seychelles Sustainable Tourism Label

On Tuesday 3rd May 2016, Four Seasons Resort Seychelles was awarded the Seychelles Sustainable Tourism Label for meeting a strict list of requirements related to sustainability as set out by the awarding body, Seychelles Tourism.

Concern for the environment and a focus on sustainability has always been at the forefront of the Four Seasons philosophy, so the luxury Seychelles resort is proud to have their efforts officially recognised by this new initiative by Seychelles Tourism.

As one of the first hotels in Seychelles to receive the label, Four Seasons Resort Seychelles is at the forefront of the Seychelles’ environmental efforts and is providing a real contribution into the safeguarding of the island nation’s famously beautiful environment by already running projects such as the Petite Anse Reef Restoration Project with WiseOceans and an internal campaign aimed at educating staff about reducing waste and recycling materials.

Adrian Messerli, General Manager of the exclusive Seychelles resort commented ‘I am extremely supportive of this important initiative developed by Seychelles Tourism and proud that we are able to be one of the first hotels in Seychelles to have their sustainability efforts officially recognised by this new label.’

The official award ceremony took place on Tuesday 3rd May with the Seychelles Minister of Environment who presented Stewart Kiely, Director of Engineering with the award, in recognition of the Resort’s continued efforts to preserve the local environment and choose sustainable methods of operating in Seychelles.
