Hotel Updates: Caranabeach Hotel

Soroptomists cash in on CaranaBeach Cocktail for Breast Cancer Awareness

The CaranaBeach Hotel has donated over R3,000 to the Soroptimist International Club of Victoria, following a creative campaign launched to support the fight against breast cancer.

Throughout the month of October, the hotel and its staff promoted a newly created “Pink Lady” cocktail to raise funds for the Soroptomists, which regularly organises activities to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The cocktail came with its own pink ribbon for customers to wear and show their support for the fight against breast cancer.

“We are so proud of our staff as well as our guests for supporting this great cause,” CaranaBeach General Manager Cyrille Carofano said. “We are always looking for ways to support our community and the great work being done by civil society, and when our efforts are rooted in the kind of hospitality that forms our core business, it’s going to be a win for everybody.”

Altogether 53 Pink Lady cocktails were sold during the period, with the hotel’s management matching the proceeds for a grand total of R3,180 for the donation.

“We were delighted to partner with CaranaBeach for its Pink Lady cocktail campaign and would like to encourage others to show such great initiative and creativity in finding new ways to promote the cause of breast cancer awareness,” Angelika Maurel, President of the Soroptimists Club said.
