From Saturday, 25 March, travelers to the US from Dubai International airport cannot carry any electronic device larger than a cell phone or smartphone, excluding medical devices, in the aircraft cabin. Travelers must pack these electronic devices in their checked-in baggage.
Examples of large electronic devices that will not be allowed in the cabin on affected flights include, but are not limited to:
· Laptops
· Tablets
· E-Readers
· Cameras
· Portable DVD players
· Electronic game units larger than a smartphone
· Travel printers/scanners
This new security directive, issued by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA), applies to all US-bound passengers, including those in transit.
