Le Duc de Praslin Hotel Adds New Reception Lounge
Le Duc de Praslin Hotel & Villas has expanded its facilities with a new reception / lounge area. The increasing number of rooms and guests made the existing reception area a bit too cramped, hence the construction of this new reception which now provides more space. The area will also serve as a meeting point for all the clients’ representatives for briefing sessions and accessible for all excursion sales with desks.
The new reception lounge area greatly enhances the entrance to the hotel and creates a wow effect from clients’ first impression upon arrival.
In addition to the newly built reception / lounge area, a new privacy wall has been completed around the four honeymoon suites. This has provided these room types with added courtyard space and intimacy with new outdoor furniture including a ‘love-swing’ for each room. The wall is an extension to the reception / lounge area and blends well with the overall surroundings and existing buildings.
Architect Terence Camille designed the building with clean simple lines, punctuated by a beautifully crafted ‘latanier’ leaves pitched roof. The hotel owner / manager Robert Payet has handpicked the décor and furnishings for this new development and the overall design has been conceived in collaboration with local designer Andrew Gee.

The new construction is complemented by beautiful landscaping - a signature of the hotel – adding a calm and soothing feel to the harmonious blend of the hotel’s natural environment of Koi fish ponds, exotic flowering plants and giant palms – a Zen garden setting by the sea.
“Our new reception lounge is a welcome addition to our hotel as it provides our guests with additional facilities and the extension of our honeymoon suites provides a more intimate setting for this room type”, said a thrilled Robert Payet.
