Mason’s Travel Staff Shine at Ocean Race to Mark 45th Anniversary of Seychelles’ First Marine Park

Staff from Mason’s Travel had an excellent showing at the annual kayak race to commemorate the Ste Anne Marine Park, now celebrating its 45th year of existence. About 35 participants took part in the race, ten of which were from Mason’s Travel. Participants started from Ste Anne Island, winding past the islands of Moyenne and Round before returning to the finish line.

British Airways is Back, Offering Year Round Flights to Seychelles

The first British Airways (BA) flight in 14 years landed at the Seychelles International airport on Sunday March 25, 2018.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner touched down at around 6.10am with 214 passengers onboard.

Seychelles' Tourism Minister and Tourism Board CEO Hold Talks with Airline Partners at ITB Berlin 2018

The Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, Maurice Loustau-Lalanne and the Chief Executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Sherin Francis, held discussions with airline partners on the sidelines of the 2018 ITB fair, held from March 7 to 11, in Berlin, Germany.

They met with officials from Qatar Airways, Edelweiss Air and Turkish Airlines.

Air Seychelles Expands Online Check-In to Five New Destinations

Air Seychelles has today expanded its online check-in service to five new destinations: Abu Dhabi, Johannesburg, Mauritius, Mumbai and Paris.

The service allows travellers to check-in for inbound and outbound flights from up to 24 hours before departure by simply going to, making the journey simpler and faster.

Air Seychelles Celebrates Women's Day with Special Female Flight

In celebration of International Women's Day yesterday, Air Seychelles operated a special flight between Seychelles and Johannesburg with a female captain and a team of all-female cabin crew.

At the controls of flight HM061 was Captain Nicole Changleng, while the guests were looked after by Cabin Manager Janice Benstrong, Cabin Senior Anick Souris, and Flight Attendants Gabriella Julie and Rohana Adelaide.

Mayotte takes the helm of the Indian Ocean's Vanilla Islands

Mayotte has assumed the rotating presidency of the Vanilla Islands, taking over from the Comoros that was leading the organisation for the past year.

The President of the Departmental Council of Mayotte, Mr. Soibahadine Ibrahim Ramadani, was handed over the mandate to lead the regional grouping on February 8, 2018. This was during a ceremony held at the Departmental Council of Mayotte and facilitated by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vanilla Islands, Mr Pascal Viroleau.

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches, the newest luxury resort in Seychelles, is welcomed its first guests this Thursday March 1, 2018. The resort features 71 lodgings, offering a choice of beach bungalows, villas, suites and multi-bedroom Residences, all with private pool and direct beach access. Desroches,  which is part of the Amirantes group, is administered by the Island Development Company (IDC), and can be reached in 35 minutes by plane from the main island, Mahé.
