Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare Launches Into Festive Season with New "Concertini" Initiative to Promote Local Talent
This Monday,
guests at Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare were invited to attend the
hotel’s annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony and the official launch of
their exciting new Kempinski Concertini initiative, which aims to promote local
musical talent to the hotel’s international clientele.
Kempinski
Concertini is a series of interactive mini-concerts, which are designed to
introduce guests to Creole music and local talent. Baie Lazare’s very own St.
Francis Choir were invited to kick off this Christmas edition of the Concertini
campaign, as they declared the festive season officially open with their
angelic choruses.
Hotel
guests, both young and old, joined in singing traditional Christmas carols and
were dazzled when an enormous floating Christmas tree lit up the night from its
position in the centre of the luxury hotel’s private lagoon. Kempinski’s
floating Christmas Tree is quite unique to Seychelles, standing at over 26 ft
tall and weighing an impressive 250 kg. It took a team of four people seven
days to erect the towering tree, which can be seen shimmering on the hotel’s
lagoon every evening this December.
“Everyone at
Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare appreciates the magical performance of
the St. Francis Choir,” says Masami Egami, General Manager of the hotel. “These
talented musicians are full of enthusiasm for their music and we are delighted
to support them by offering a beautiful stage, where our guests from near and
far can appreciate the memorable moments they create.”
