Shortlisted for Region’s Top Private Island in World Travel Awards
Denis Private Island is in the running
for one of the world’s most prestigious honours in the professional tourism
trade.
Its nomination in the 26th
World Travel Awards (WTA), for the Indian Ocean’s leading private island resort
category, is a first for the locally owned property.
According to Denis Private Island PR,
Branding and Communications Manager Nicole Saint Ange, the award nomination
puts the island in a new light alongside many of the upscale chain hotels in
Seychelles, but for very different reasons.

Denis will be up against Seychelles
properties Frégate Island Private, Hilton Labriz Silhouette and North Island,
as well as island resorts in the Maldives and Madagascar.
Each year, WTA covers the globe with a
series of awards programmes and accompanying red carpet gala ceremonies in each
continent to reward and celebrate the achievements of the region’s best travel
products and services.
Voting for the Africa and Indian Ocean regions opened on 4th of March and closes at midnight on the 21st of April. Votes are cast by both travel professionals and consumers from around the world, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named as the winner.
