Mason’s Travel Staff Delivers Record Participation and Performances at Annual Marathon Event
Runners and walkers of all ages took to the roads of Mahé to
participate in the Seychelles Eco-Healing Marathon on Sunday, with Mason’s
Travel well represented at the event despite heavy rain and windy conditions.
The 12th edition of the event saw 36 staff members from
Mason’s Travel participate in conjunction with the company’s Lifestyle
Committee, with family members and fellow staff along the side to cheer them
on. Staff participated in both the 10km and 5km races, with the company’s
Transport Supervisor Bertrand Esther clocking in 2nd in the 18-34
male category among 189 participants.
Product & Contract Assistant Ada Hoareau, finished 18th in
the 18-34 female category with 120 participants. Lucie Payet, Alison Rousseau
and Gilise Montano finished 8th, 32nd and 50th in the 5km race in the
50+ category as well.
The Lifestyle Committee also organised a small stand with
fresh local lime and passion fruit juices and sandwiches for competitors on
their return.
“It’s a delight to see our staff perform so well, and for
our other staff to show such tremendous support for their efforts,” Mason’s
Travel PR, Branding and Communications Manager Nicole
Saint Ange said. “It was a real show of togetherness to brave less-than-ideal
conditions and make the company proud.”
